Soiree Day-Family Easter Lunch!

Today's Soiree Day is a little different.  I wanted to share a little bit about how my family celebrated Easter this past Saturday!  The "little bit" is mainly the yummy lunch we had!
   ♥
Menu:
Ham
Sweet Potatoes, Green Bean Casserole, Mac and Cheese(mainly for the little ones), Corn Casserole, Calico Beans, Potatoe Dish and Deviled Eggs
Easter Nest and Sunshine Cupcakes, Peeps Rice Krispie Treats
♥
Yes it was carb city but these are our holiday favorites!!  Except the Calico Beans.  It's my mother in law's recipe that my husband requested.  They turned out very good and I'm sure I'll be making them more often now! I'll share the recipe after the yummy photos!
I forgot the beans!
On to my dessert plate they went!

Inspired by For Love of the Oven!!

Cuties by my sis!!

And here's how my mom sets the tables!

We had a very good celebration!  The kids got to color eggs, hunt eggs and bust an egg pinata open!!
Here's the Calico Bean recipe! Enjoy!
Brown 1 to 1/2 lbs of hamburger & 1 med chopped onion. Drain
( My mil uses dehydrated onion, about 1 tbsp.  I used dehydrated onion too except I used more because I like onion! So it's whatever your prefrence is!)
Cook crisp 5-7 strips of bacon, drain then crumble.
5-6 cans of beans
(Again, use your favorites.  I used a big can of pork and beans and drained it a little. 2 cans of great northern, drained, and 2 cans of ranchero beans, not drained-per husbands request. I also doubled the recipe thus the many beans!)
1 cup ketsup
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp liquid smoke
1 tsp salt
Mix well in crock pot, cook 7-8 hours on low or 4-5 on high.

Happy Soiree Day!
