Chic Couture-February Beauty Boxes

Oh lovelies! 

February was a goooood beauty box month!!  

Finally I got a pink lip product in my Ipsy bag!!  And extra goodies from Julep!

I went with the Modern Beauty box and got the Glow Highlighter and Illume Eye Brightener. I added on the heart nail stickers and got the new 'Valentine' polish Hartleigh from Jane Park for free.  And then they sent me 5 extra Hartleigh's to share which I'm still in the process of doing!

I like the highlighter, it isn't shimmery at all.  The eye brightener I'm having a little bit of trouble deciding if I like it or not.  My eye area is a problem so I can't tell if it's brightening them up or not! And Hartleigh is pretty fun!

Here's my Valentine mani using Hartleigh....

Margit (mushroom with rose shimmer), Shari (sweet pea pink under Hartleigh) and Cara (cranberry frost)

March's Maven selections include lipsticks which I'm excited about!!

Yay for Ipsy!! This was a good bag for me! I haven't used the Glam Glow eye treatment yet but will soon and that sparkly nail polish is happening this weekend!

The lip stain is a pretty color and the formula is interesting, not in a bad way for me.  It's not thick at all like you might think something that says 'creamy' might would be. It was actually kinda light and the color lasted fairly long.  

I got the peach bellini shade of cheek color and like that it's not shimmery....it's more glowy.  And the Demeter perfume oil is a lovely scent!  So, so happy with this bag!

{Freebie} Valentine Bookmarks

I've been using one of my Valentine lockscreens and thought I'd make it into a bookmark. And then I found the "Every heart has a story tell" phrase and loved it so much I thought it'd make a great bookmark too!

Chic Couture-Firmoo Glasses Review

I've been wanting to try a pair of brown frames without the nose pincher's for a while now so when Firmoo contacted me to do a review  I was excited!!  I have a pair of their sunglasses that I absolutely love! Oh and hey...notice anything else different? New hair!! No more blonde on top and I went shorter! Which is taking some getting used to, I can't ever fix it like my stylist does! Who can really?

I decided on a clear/tortoise frame.  Firmoo has so many stylish frames to choose from, it was a bit hard to decide on which ones to get! If you are skeptical about ordering glasses online, which I totally get, just know that Firmoo has a step by step ordering process that's user friendly! A good tip to follow is use a pair of glasses you own already and measure their width to compare.  Firmoo provides widths on every pair of glasses they offer. I did not do this and the glasses are a bit snug.  But they most definitely do not move, so I'm not constantly pushing them up! 

Glasses came with a case, cleaning cloth, pouch(not pictured), and a screwdriver.

{Sharing} 2015 Valentine's Day Mantel

I just love the Target Dollar Spot. Really, who does not? There's not many times that I walk past it, how about you? I picked up that cute 'be mine' sign not knowing what I'd really do with it.  When I got started on getting the Valentine décor out a 'be mine' theme quickly became evident and what other kind of banner was there to make other than a 'be mine' one!

I have some paperback books I got free at a garage sale that I've stashed to craft with and so I busted them out to make my banner.  I just folded pages once longwise and cut a heart out.  I had printed off the words and just used a sharpie to trace and fill in the letters. Found some cute felt stickers in the Dollar Spot to decorate a heart. Hung with twine and clothespins and done!

I think we're ready for love day now!!

Well that's not true.  We still have classmate Valentine's and teacher Valentine's to get! Ha!

But that won't be work, it'll be fun!! ☺
