Vintage Gwen Chapel-When God Speaks Your Name

For some reason God brought to my remembrance a revelation He had given me a while ago.  I've had mission trip on the brain and I was thinking about the last one I went one and I remember sharing this scripture on that trip.
John 20: 11-16 TNIV
"Now Mary stood outside the tomb crying.  As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.  They asked her, "Woman, why are you crying?" "They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put him."  At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.  He asked her, "Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?"  Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him."  Jesus said to her, "Mary."  She turned  toward him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means "Teacher").

What have you been through lately?  Have you been so distraught that you can not see that God is right in front of you? Speaking to you?  I love that Jesus said Mary's name and when He did she immediately had focus on her Savior.  I rarely hear God say "Jennifer".  It's usually daughter or child. So if and when He ever does, it will be greater than when He uses daughter or child!
But it's pretty great when I do hear daughter or child, for those are who I am in Christ.

Have a great weekend!
