Quick Gift Ideas!

I must confess I feel a little lost without a Necklace Redo to do!! Don't worry I'll snap out of it!
Wanted to show you my quick Mother's Day gifts, which can be used for just about anything! If you're like me, both my mom and mother in law are at the point in their lives where it's hard to buy for them!  And so stuff like photos and things you make are just as good as if you'd bought them a diamond!
Photos and handmade goodies it was!!

This is a pin I made my mom.  I made a flower like I did for Redo #6 but I added 10 more smaller circles to make it thicker.

Flower fabric ring for my mom and flower fabric pin for my mother in law.  I added solid pink to one end so it'd be pink in the center.  When my mom had seen the other flower fabric rings I had made she quietly asked "where's mine"...she loved both the pin and the ring!  We made a surprise visit to my mother in law's on Sunday and so since she didn't know we were coming she was in her good ole' comfy clothes.  She missed the pin in the bottom of the bag and so I had to tell her she had forgotten something....she marched right over and dug it out and immediately put it on!!!  ☺  The two button rings I made for my sister and sister in law.

Buttons, glue and a ring! Very quick!  I've been wanting to make these for awhile and thought Mother's Day was the perfect time!  And here's how I packaged the rings......

These are vintage hankies.  They were leftover from my wedding...I used them and Satin Hands from Mary Kay as thank you gifts.

Just tied up the ring inside with some cotton twine.

All of these were easy and fast!
Then I decorated some frames for my moms with none other than burlap!! After all, I was putting photos of Lil' Hunkie inside so what better way to make something unique but still rustic than with burlap!
I made a collage of all of Lil' Hunkie's 'Tom Sawyer' moments at Walmart.com and added this quote...."There comes a time in every rightly constructed boy's life that he has a raging desire to go somewhere and dig for hidden treasure." Mark Twain.
'Tom Sawyer' moments =
sitting in the bottom of my planter,
opening the dishwasher door and sitting on top of the door,
taking oh 100 sandwich bags out of the box,
pouring out a bag full of red gumballs,
and the most recent
dragging out my sewing box and other stuff and sitting himself inside the closet next to the sewing machine!
All this while I'm in the bathroom!

Supplies:  $3 frames, hot glue gun, Burlap in natural and sage, sewing machine.

Started with a strip of burlap...sewed down the middle with the longest stitch.

Then pulled the under stitch to ruffle.  Trimmed the ends where it didn't want to ruffle!

Then glued to the center of the frame....I folded under the ends to make sure it looked nice and ruffley(that might be a new word!)

Took some strips and made some rolled flowers, gluing here and there and then glued one to each side of the ruffle.

Again, made this in no time!

Have a Happy Day!!
