Bash Day 4-Bash Bag!

Welcome to Bash Day 4!!

When I was thinking about this giveaway I had a little light bulb come on! Why not have a bag to put all the goodies in and call it the Bash Bag!?  Yay for the little light bulb!
Here's what I did!
Supplies
Canvas tote bag, mine is about 8 1/2 by 11 inches
Fabric, I used the left over bandannas from my Petite Party
Sewing machine
Hot glue gun

First, I did some measuring.  The bag is 8 1/2 inches wide and I wanted 4 ruffles.  So I cut 4 strips about 2 1/2 inches wide, the length of the bandanna was perfect for this project.

I then sewed using the longest stitch setting.  I used the guide lines (to the right in the photo) so the ruffles would be straight since I was not sewing down the middle...used the third one in so therefore had about 1/2 inch of fabric above the thread.  (Hope that makes sense!!)

The fabric ruffled on it's own basically! I just had some adjustments to do lengthwise!!
*Note: I did wash the bandannas so they wouldn't be stiff!*
Then I wanted to sew each ruffle on starting at the bottom.  But my machine just wouldn't allow it!  So I busted out the good ole' hot glue gun and glued away!

 All done!!

And looky what I made to go with the Bash Bag!!!

With the pin from Bash Day 2!!

This would be adorable for everything, but this would be a great idea since my nieces are going back to school. They can be stylish with some cute book bags ;)
