Vintage Gwen Chapel-Lost and Found Sheep

I recently read a quote regarding the parable of The Lost Sheep that got me to thinking.
The parable is about a shepherd who leaves 99 sheep to go in search of one lost sheep.

"In this parable, Jesus never goes back to the ninety-nine sheep.  The ninety-nine sheep are a set-up.  Jesus has divided the flock into one sheep and ninety-nine sheep....I think the real meaning of the one and the ninety-nine is that the one lost sheep is the whole human race as it really is.  And the ninety-nine "found" sheep who never get lost are the whole human race as we think we are."
 - Robert Farrar Capon

But what if the 99 represent saved sheep?  Those of us who are Christians.  He left us because we are now representatives of Christ and should be following in His path in search for the lost sheep.

This is one reason I love the Word of God.  It is truly alive....when you can read the same passage and get different revelations....it truly is amazing to me!

Let's be in prayer together today for the lost sheep.

Have a wonderful weekend!
