Soiree Day-The Family Reunion

Summer time means at least one thing for my family....The Family Reunion!  Every July my Father's side of the family gathers at Greenleaf State Park.  You can go for the whole weekend or go for lunch on Sunday, since we're not big campers we go on Sunday.
We enjoyed this tradition over the past weekend and boy was it HOT! I had parked my car under a tree for shade and when we got in to leave it read 108!!  It was good to see extended family though and eat some yummy food!  I didn't get any pictures since Hunkie couldn't go due to work so I had my hands full with Lil' Hunkie who wanted to walk everywhere and play outside, there is a small enclosed building that is air conditioned but it's barely big enough for the clan!
So I made a collage of some pics my sis took on her phone and then added the one and only shot I took...of a beautiful view......

I'm glad she got the middle shot...two fav traditions!!  My Granny's Chicken and Dumplings made by my Dad and my Aunt's Taco Salad.  She is the only person I know that makes this type of Taco Salad and I always look forward to it! Last year she was unable to attend due to being under the weather and my Uncle took up the tradition and made it!  That's how yummy it is!

How do you celebrate the Family Reunion?

Happy Soiree Day!
