Chic Couture-Urban Decay Smoked Palette

Have you noticed I love makeup?
With a mom who has sold Avon and Mary Kay what can I say?
Urban Decay recently came out with their Smoked Palette and I of course started thinking of how and when I would be able to afford it.  Enter my birthday! My family was so good to me as always and I was able to get everything I had on my little mental wish list including the palette!!
It came with a booklet on different looks and I did try the classic smokey eye which turned out pretty.  I have small eyes with a small lid so I find it hard sometimes to follow tutorials.  And I don't ever line my waterline because it makes my eyes look even smaller! So I've just been playing and Mushroom is my favorite so far! It also came with a full size Perversion liner which is great and a travel size eye primer which I gifted. Got share that fabulous stuff!  If you're a fan of Urban Decay then this is a nice palette to add to your collection.
While I was at Sephora  I also asked for a sample of this...

Before I say what I think of this I should say this:  I am no beauty expert.
However, I am a beauty consumer.
Continuing.
It's nice, covered well but I'm having a hard time seeing any difference in what I use now which is this...
I even put half and half on! {And forgot to ask someone to look at my face! Ha!} I was hoping the UD would cover my blemishes better but it is a lightweight formula so that hope might have been misplaced.
Since there wasn't a noticeable difference I can't find a reason to spend $38 on foundation.
Have you tried it? If so, how did it compare to what you had been using?
Let me know!

Happy Friday!

I love the Revlon Colorstay line and, like you, have tested it against several pricier brands. I always go back to Revlon.
