Vintage Gwen Chapel-Touching Tassels

Welcome to the first Vintage Gwen Chapel. This is me taking a break from the fun stuff and offering some inspiration.  I know that God talks to us all in different ways. To me, He seems to speak in 'nuggets', in small revelations. In the past I know He has wanted me to write down these nuggets and I never did thinking that was journaling and I just don't do a lot of that. But this year I have determined to change my way! Yes I have already started not even thinking about starting a blog. It's been a fun and exciting week and I can't wait to see how Vintage Gwen evolves. Thank you to the 8 followers I have! One in whom I never thought would follow me! My very own Pastor! What love and support!

Touching Tassels
There was a woman in the Bible with an issue of blood. (Luke 8:43-46) She had gone to all the doctors there were and had tried every kind of medicine to no avail. Then she heard about a man named Jesus. He healed. She managed to locate him but He had a crowd around him. So she did all she could and managed to just touch the hem of his robe.
In Numbers 15:38-39 God gives a command to Moses. "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel. You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the Lord, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by chasing after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes." Jesus was wearing those tassels. The woman  actually touched the tassels! Those tassels represented God himself! No wonder Jesus knew someone had touched Him! So thankful that it takes the lightest touch for God to know we need Him. And how awesome it is that He responds without fail.
Have a blessed weekend!

So good to remember this. I did Believing God study a couple times by Beth Moore and she talks about these tassels too. The meaning is so significant!
Thanks so much for voting for me, you're the best!

Your welcome! Yes I'm doing a Praying the names of Jesus devotion by Ann Spangler right now and when I read that thought it was awesome! I might have to check out Believing God after I'm done!
