Fall Front Door

Alright so I have managed to get out all of my fall decorations and am done with everything but the front porch!  I plan on being completely done by next Thursday so I can show you all of it but wanted to start with my front door.  A couple months ago, when Hobby Lobby had some of their home decor at 66% or more off I found a plain unfinished frame and bought that sucker for $6!!  And I knew what I wanted to do with it...spruce up my fall wreath for the front door!

Here she is....

.....I gave her 2 coats of this!  We used this paint on buckets for my wedding, I still have 2 whole cans left!! I used it on something else...I'll show ya what next week! {Tease! Tease!}
(Sorry this is blurry!)

Before I hung the frame I applied 4 of these to each of the corners.

I then took a piece of brown wide satin ribbon, also left over from my wedding, and folded it in half.  Sorry I didn't measure it! Then took the middle and held it behind the frame....

....then I drew up the ends through the loop.  I didn't do any research on how to hang a frame/wreath combo...I just winged it!  So I'm showing you this part to maybe help someone!  I then made a loop to hang it on my wreath hanger.  Then I did the same technique with the wreath, tying it to the frame and made a bow.

All done!!

I love how it turned out!!   The frame turned out to not be as big as I thought it would be compared to the size of the wreath but the parts you do see are just right!! I've had the wreath for 4 years and it has been through the ringer!! It too was from my wedding and the first time I got to use it, it got blown away...like 2-3 houses down!!  Thankfully Hunkie found it!!
I can't wait to show you what else I painted....ah the magic of a little paint!!

Still time to enter my 150 'Fall'ower Giveaway!!
