T-Shirt Ruffle Scarf

In case you missed this guest post I did at A Little Slice of Special a couple weeks ago here it is!
I want to show you lovelies an easy way to add to your accessories! I took one of my older, showin' some wear with a stain shirts and made a ruffly scarf!

Supplies:
Shirt, sewing machine, scissors.

I started by cutting off the back of the shirt and cutting 4 strips about 4 inches wide.  I left the hem of the bottom of the shirt so the ends of my scarf would be hemmed already. I can be a smart cookie sometimes!

My 4 strips...the beauty of knit...the edges kinda curl so you don't have to worry about being perfect!

Then, with right sides together, I sewed each piece together to make one long strip...sorry I didn't measure at this stage but it was probably about 80 inches long!  Next, with my sewing machine set on the longest stitch length I sewed down the middle.  Then pulled the underneath thread to ruffle.  This was the most time consuming part of the project.

Tied the ends off and wallah! A ruffly new accessory that cost nothing!!

Here I just looped it once...wearing with my $3 shirt from Wally World!

I've never worn navy and orange together...I think I'm liking it!! Here I folded the scarf in half and then brought it around my neck and put the loose ends through the folded middle section and brought up to my neck.  This is the better way I think!

So easy!! And I've worn it several times already!!
Have a happy day!

See my Link Parties page for where I'll be at!

Very cute!!! I like the orange a lot! I'm one who can't wear orange so much - doesn't do well with my skin, but I wish I could!
