Vintage Gwen Chapel-Delete The Trash

I do not have the fanciest cell phone there is.  The sd card and phone storage is an issue.  About everyone 2 months or so I'll get a message that says low phone storage and I'll have to delete all my text messages just so I can clear that message and be able to text.  Also apps are tricky, right now I have about 15 and unless a new one can go on the sd card then I'm pretty much at my limit.  I try to keep my photos cleaned out and just this week worked on my emails.  I have a hotmail and my gmail synced.  This past week the low phone storage came up again and it's a little aggravating!  I was needing to text someone concerning church stuff not wanting to call her while at work.  So I jumped on my gmail account to work on, oh almost 800 messages in the trash folder.  What you don't have this problem?
The trash folder.  It's contains messages I've deleted. So I'm done with them.  Mind you the majority of the emails pertain to my blog....
So as I was working I kept thinking "maybe I should take the time to really go through these in case I need to keep one."
"No you don't have time for that!"
"But what if something important is in there!"
"You've deleted them, you're done with them!"
I went back and forth. And finally selected all and hit delete.  And the message cleared on my phone and I moved on with my day!
What about our lives? What stuff is there that we've taken in that yeah, we moved to the trash folder but it's not deleted yet because we think there might be something important, something of worth in it?  Really? Sounds like a lie to me!  Unfortunately we have to have a filter because of the trash that's out there but why let it just sit in the trash folder?  It's time to delete the trash!  And here's how...
Romans 12:2 Amplified Bible
"Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]."
This is what I'll be working on and just might be my motto for a little while.

Be blessed!

Chic Couture-The Arm Party

Not gonna lie...I have been inspired by Stella & Dot's Arm Party contest.  All you had to do is take a pic of your version of an "arm party" and upload to Instagram with the hashtag of sdarmparty.  An "arm party" is simply wearing multiple bracelets on one arm.  It's a big trend right now!  I searched just 'armparty' on Instagram and there were over 57000 photos!
So last Saturday during my party I snapped some pics....

I don't know why but I really like the spikey bracelet!! Probably because it's dainty and tough at the same time!
Isn't an arm party fun?

Here's some more inspiration....

And don't forget watches can be thrown into the mix too!
Found this one at Francesca's too that I really like...

I can't wait for my next arm party!!
Hope this inspires you to be a little more adventurous in your accessorizing!

Happy Friday!

Welcome To Our Home!

Hallelujah! I am finally showing you our new house!  Last Saturday was my first time entertaining so I took advantage of the opportunity and took a bunch of pictures! Is everything exactly how I want it? Not one bit! Settling in is a process and it's ok that I'm not done yet!
{This is what I keep telling myself!}  I will be having guests in July and August and I have goals set of things I want done by those dates.  I wanted our flower bed and outside paint touched up before last Saturday and thanks to my hubby got the flower bed started.  The paint is another story!  We had installation installed to help with the electricity bill and went to find paint and struck out.  So it gets moved to do by my July date.
For the inside, the entry way, a closet for myself, organizing the 3rd bedroom, and curtains are all major things still needing to be done.

Here we go...lots of pictures and for time and my sanity sake these are not edited at all!
Come on in!!

How about that tan I got going on?

Backyard....

And looking out the front door....our drive...and Lil' Hunkie's sand pile that was left by the seller.

We are truly blessed to have really stumbled upon this place!  We have a friend who is a builder and Hunkie asked me to call him to see if he had any land for us to build on. His mom did, 2 acres adjacent to the house his parents used to live in that he remodeled.  Well before we walked the land we were curious to see the inside of the house and Hunkie liked it right away.  Our friend was fixing to put the house and it's 3 acres on the market. We walked the land, our friend even took us up the back road to the land.  Hunkie flat out asked what he would want for the house....me; I wanted to know for the whole shebang!
House and 5 acres!
We went home, Hunkie was gungho but I was in figuring out mode.  The closet space was lacking and there was no pantry.  And the master bedroom/bath was pretty small! Oh and no garage either.  Our friend called not long after we'd been home with a price we just couldn't pass up.  A house that was double the square footage with 5 acres for the same payment we currently had?  Yes I can make do with what was lacking!  I even made a pros and cons list with the pros far out weighing the cons!  I mean I have a craft room!!  And because our friend's wife was so excited for us she fangled my custom built pantry and island.  God is good! And guess what I had prayed the whole time we were trying to sell our house?
"Lord, I thank You that You have a place prepared for my family.  A place that is set aside for us, a place that is all our own and that we won't have to compete for it."
Uh-huh!  We are truly blessed!

So while there's still work to be done, it's ok because I'm at home in the place God prepared.

Happy Thursday!
